The castle of la Haye d'Iree, set in a 50 acre private park, offers a magnificent setting.
The "Gobeleterie", a massive 185 sq metre buiding, dates back to the Middle Ages when it formed part of the "Verrerie Royale de la Haye d'Iree", one of the first glass houses in France. This historic building has been converted into the main reception area. When still in use, the "Gobeleterie" boasted an immense underground oven, used in the formation of glass later distributed throughout the entire Kingdom of France. Nowadays, a glass floor has been placed over this underground area, allowing views of the remains of this historic oven to be admired.
Your guests will be bewitched by the magic of the impressive wooden framework in the main reception room, the high ceilings, and the subtlety and originality of the glass floor.
Guests can also be treated to outdoor cocktails in the park, in the shadow of 400 year old yew trees. Once the party is over, the manor itself, along with four nearby historic houses will open their doors to welcome up to 50 of your friends and family to stay.
Please share with us your ideas, we will be delighted to help you plan and organise an unforgettable party !
